A new supplement containing black pepper, caffeine and a concentrated form of capsaicin (the chemical that makes red peppers hot) is said to burn as many calories as a 20 minute walk.
A study by Joel T Cramer, assistant professor of exercise physiology at the University of Oklahoma showed energy expeditures of 3 to 6 percents after taking the supplement. Enough to validate the products weight loss claims. The study measured oxygen intaxe and CO2 production in the participants to determine their arresting metabolic rate.
